Billing & license keys
Plans and the free trial
How the 3-day Pro trial works, what each plan covers, what happens when you need more cameras, and what happens to your footage if you stop paying.
Updated 17 October 2026
The trial
Every new hub gets 3 days of Pro from the first time it runs, with every feature unlocked. No card is needed to start. When the trial ends, pick a plan to keep using the app. There’s no free tier.
The plans
| Plan | Cameras per hub | Adds |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Up to 4 | Recording to your own storage, end-to-end encryption, person/vehicle/animal alerts, unified timeline, remote access |
| Plus | Up to 10 | Apple Watch & Wear OS, package delivered/taken alerts, signed evidence export packs |
| Pro | Up to 25 | AI search in plain English, overnight H.265 compression; family roles and multiple sites coming soon |
| Business | 25+ | NVRs and multiple sites for shops, offices and estates |
Every plan works with every camera brand. Current prices, monthly and yearly, are on the pricing section. Yearly billing gives you two months free.
More cameras than your plan
When you add a camera beyond your plan’s limit, Unicam offers to upgrade. You can also add cameras in packs of 5 with the +5 cameras add-on instead of moving up a plan.
If you stop paying
Your footage stays exactly where it is: in your own Drive, NAS or bucket. With your recovery key, the Unicam decrypt tool turns it back into standard MP4s, with or without a subscription.
Where to buy
- On the website: you get a license key by email to enter in the app. See License keys.
- In the iOS and Android apps: when the store apps launch, subscriptions bought inside them are billed by Apple or Google.
Refunds
Annual plans can be refunded within 14 days of the first payment or a renewal; the first monthly payment within 7 days. Full details in the refund policy.
